Perched on the side of the hill in the heart of Slad. This little pub was where I met my father on Friday evenings in the summers before I left for America years ago. I tried to keep only on the canvas what matters, and to almost symbolize the necessity of these historical icons preserved in most cases by heroic landlords.

This is one of my first paintings. I wanted to capture the bolt greens that appeared as river or torrent of green, light and life in silent almost static force between the lane and an idylic coutry home that invited passers by to dream and perhaps put themslelvs behind the windows.

Title: Everloving
Year: 2025
Medium: Oil On Canvas
Size: 16x20
Series: Early Cotswold Works
Location: Slad Valley, UK
Price: NFS
Signature Note:
In this painting, I have shaped the scene to embody the love of my mother: the bright, over-painted water; the rich abundance of flowers; the clear, generous sky; and the tall, protective depth of the valley walls. Most poignantly, there is the mill house—where she worked for a time in the top-left office—marked by the lighter window: a quiet presence watching me as a boy fishing in the mill pond, without a care in the world.

Title: Cloudy Field
Year: 2025
Medium: Oil On Canvas
Size: 16x20
Series: Early Cotswold Works
Location: Slad Valley, UK
Price: NFS
Signature Note:
In this painting, I wanted to express, at an early stage, the dense forest that surrounds an almost ethereal folding of fields, laced together by stone and hedge row. The two horses reflect the joy of strolling unfettered through almost surreal beauty.

Title: Tractor Field
Year: 2025
Medium: Oil On Canvas
Size: 16x20
Series: Early Cotswold Works
Location: Slad Valley, UK
Price: $2000
Signature Note:
I wanted to capture what it feels like to return home and see life continuing without me, the steady industry of farming, the quiet persistence of daily life moving forward regardless. The cloud on the horizon carries my past and the lingering regret of leaving my family years ago.

Title: Church
Year: 2025
Medium: Oil On Canvas
Size: 16x20
Series: Early Cotswold Works
Location: Slad Valley, UK
Price: $2100
Signature Note:
I see the church as a quiet symbol of traditional English life, something that feels as though it is slowly shrinking, being pushed to the margins. It sits almost hidden, cloaked in trees and leaves, as if waiting for the moment it can show its face again. Part of history, resting but not gone, hoping one day to return to its place at the center of the community, like a castle on a hill.
